Sevim and Necdet Kent Library is a library located on Cunda Island with both historical and cultural significance. Formerly known as Ayos Yannis Church, the building was restored by the Rahmi M. Koç Museology and Culture Foundation in 2007 and converted into a library. The library was opened in memory of Rahmi M. Koç’s mother Sevgi Gönül, and named after Necdet Kent and his wife Sevim Kent. The library offers visitors the opportunity to read and conduct research with its rich collection of books. Additionally, due to its location, it offers unique views of Cunda Island. With its historical and cultural texture, the library is a must-see spot on Cunda Island, especially for literature and history enthusiasts.

Cunda Windmill is a structure of historical and touristic importance on Cunda Island. Located at a high point on the island, this windmill offers both a historical heritage and a great view. The windmill has been restored and is now open to visitors. The area where Cunda Windmill is located is also close to the Sevim and Necdet Kent Library. The Rahmi M. Koç Museology and Culture Foundation opened the museum in 2011 and placed it in the Taksiyarhis Church. They restored this church, built in 1873 in the Neo-Classical style, and converted it into a museum. The museum focuses on themes of industry, transportation, and communication. It houses various collections, including maritime, aviation, railway, and automobile exhibits. The museum displays a wide range of objects, such as model ships, classic cars, motorcycles, scientific instruments, and toys.

Taş Kahve is one of the most iconic and historic places on Cunda Island. Built in 1871, this coffee house is located in the center of the island, along the coastline. The venue offers a spacious environment with its wide and high-ceilinged structure. Inside, there are wooden tables and chairs, historical photographs, and antique objects. Here, you can taste the unique flavors of the Aegean, especially mastic coffee and mastic cookies. Freshly brewed tea, lemonade, and other hot and cold drinks are also available. The large seating area in front of the venue is ideal for enjoying a pleasant time with a sea view.

Despot House, one of the important places to visit on Cunda Island, is one of the island’s historical and architectural riches. Built in the 19th century, the structure was used as the residence of one of the island’s Greek Orthodox leaders, the Despot. The Despot House stands out with its neoclassical architecture, elegant stonework, and ornate details. Over time, the house fell into disrepair but was restored and brought back to life by the Rahmi M. Koç Museology and Culture Foundation. Today, it stands as an important monument reflecting the history and cultural heritage of Cunda Island. Its high location offers breathtaking views of Ayvalık and the surrounding area. It is also an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts.
